Sixth Annual Senior $500 Scholarship
Requirements and Regulations
Fine Arts in the Four States, a not for profit organization that strives to encourage and showcase extremely high caliber performances in the four state area, is offering a $500 dollar scholarship to an outstandingly talented high school senior in order to encourage him or her in their artistic endeavors.
High school senior vocalists, instrumentalists, or dancers who will graduate with the class of 2013. Must attend a high school in the Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas area.
What musical genre?
Solo vocalists, instrumentalists, or dancers may perform in any or a combination of the following categories.
Classical Art Song and/or Opera
Audition form and recording must be returned to Fine Arts in the Four States at the address given below. Dancers and thespians must submit a video representative of their art.
Form will include student’s personal information as well as the audition selections and composers.
Recording (tape, CD, or video) of two selections with accompaniment.
Audition deadline will be Friday, October 19, 2012.
Recipient will be notified no later than the following Friday, October 26, 2012
The recipient will be featured and perform at a Bell festival concert Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Pittsburg. Kansas. The concert and festival proceedings will go toward future Fine Arts in the Four States scholarships,
Scholarship Money and Plaques
A commemorative plaque and the $500 scholarship will be presented to the student at the aforementioned concert.
